Im so glad my mother never forced religion on me or my siblings. In fact, the only time you ever saw O.G. Granny (our Mom) in church was weddings and funerals. Though we all chose paths of faith as we got older, we all think freely and arent bogged down by fairy tales forced upon our ancestors. My Dad could quote the bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, yet he lived in and according to reality. Thats what religion strips people of, their sense of actuality or reality. I mean no disrespect to my fellow Christian, Muslim, or Hebrew friends and family, but in my opinion, religion is one of the main tools that has been used to keep us as a people oppressed. An attempt to govern your lives according books written by people that no one can even prove existed is what some would call insane. Yet we as Black People are probably the most religified (yeah, I said religified) people on the earth. But we are still in worse condition than even those living in what are called undeveloped countries. Come to reality people. BELIEVE IN GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEARTS, BUT PLEASE, PLEASE LET RELIGION GO. ITS HURTING YOU AND ALL OF US.
