Im so grateful for the ways that Haiti has changed me. A year - TopicsExpress

Im so grateful for the ways that Haiti has changed me. A year ago if someone had handed me a plate of spaghetti with hot dogs, ketchup and mayonnaise, I would have been disgusted. Now I eat it like its a delicacy. A year ago I rarely left my house without makeup. Now I cant remember the last time I put it on. A year ago if things didnt go according to plan, I would be extremely frustrated and allow it to totally take control of my emotions. Now, I realize that there are far greater things to be upset over or worried about than failed plans. A year ago I still thought I had full control over my life and tried to operate as so. Now I live every day by faith. A year ago the idea of working with children 24/7 sounded like literal hell. Now I am more in love than I ever thought I could be with children who arent even my own. Today my heart is so full of joy from learning that fully trusting God, with absolutely everything brings the most incredible freedom imaginable and takes you on greater adventures you ever thought possible. I love Haiti. I love my life. Ayiti, mwen renmen ou, anpil, anpil.
