Im so scared right now. My little hairless baby, Adele, is suddenly SIDE SUCKING. She seemed fine earlier today and was perfect yesterday when I expanded their cage. When I came home from a late dinner a few hours ago, I saw her sleeping in a place she does not usually sleep. I called out to her as I got their food ready and she didnt respond. I tapped the side of her house and she didnt respond at first. When she finally did, her sides seemed to nearly cane in as she moved to turn. When I picked her up she was much cooler than she should be...almost cold. I gave her a warm bath and heated a rice pack to raise her body temp a bit and was sitting by her cage with her on my chest. I got her to both eat and she drank quite a bit. By her skin it was easy to see she was dehydrated. She got a bit more alert and tried to walk around and even grabbed more food to hide it in her stash, but she wasnt acting completely herself. She wad not well balanced, moving slower than normal, still cool to the touch, and doing a strange twist and stretch and caving her sides in. Right now she is sleeping on the warm ride pack on my tummy but every couple minutes she wakes, twists and sucks, readjusts, and lays back down. Signs point to pain but I cant pinpoint where and Im terrified to take my.eyes off of her. Has anyone experienced this before? Tips? Insight? Ive only been a rattie momma for a couple months and Im worried sick. (Ps....thank you for reading my intolerably long post lol)
