Im sure I will be advised against this- but I know most of the Juno nominees this year, and I can tell you without a doubt it means more who your publicist is, then if you A)are competent at music and B)have any actual fans. There are a couple bands up this year that literally can barely play their own instruments. This said, they know the right people. Its a sad state when those bands get attention and there are so many talented buggers out there. Take some time and look up Deep Dark Woods and feel better about life.
