Im sure many of you have heard the news - this new take on Ms. Marvel sounds really interesting. Full disclosure: I dont read many Marvel books, as I mostly pick up Vertigo, indie titles, and the occasional mini-series like Marvel Zombies. I just purchased the first two new Captain Marvel trades, though, as they came so highly recommended by friends. Meaning, Im not up to speed on the history or legacy of Ms. Marvel. That being said, Im probably going to follow along on Kamala Khans journey. It sounds like a fascinating perspective - a young, muslim-American female endowed with superpowers. Being a teenager these days is hard enough, and balancing each piece of her identity (public and secret) will likely be a challenge. What do you think?
