Im with Putin on this one ... What country in the world would abandon their major military installations and turn them over to the new Muslim brotherhood blended government of the new Ukraine ... The Russians were good enough to hold off the Nazis ( axis of Germany , Italy and Romania ) between 1941-1943 and millions of Russians held the Nazis to a stalemate that lead to the virtual end of WWII ... Not that I agree with the pogroms of Stalins era and after .... But !!!! The U.S. And Britain would have had a tremendous burden to defeat Nazi rule in Europe without The Russians fighting with every man , boy , girl and women to defend and eventually go after the Germans long before Normandy .. Lets keep our history straight here ... So , whatever your view of Russians ( who by the way were the ones that literally stood up and shouted a loud YES regarding Israel becoming a nation in the U.N. ... Meanwhile , Britain abstained ????? And the U.S. Issued a very cautious, reserved agreement . And let us not forget the concentration camps that The U.S. And Britain had set up for the Jews after the War .... Long after ( fact ) Im not saying Putin is an honest broker or definitely a good man ... In fact , hes hideous and as corrupt as you can get ... But arent they all ????? Crimea is Russia ... Go back a thousand years .. It has always been more Russian than other parts of Europe . If the Western Ukrainians want to break away from the East , so be it ... But Putin has every right to protect the Russians living in the East and they want to be Part of Russia . Again , the Western Nations are on the wrong side ... Like Libya , Egypt , etc. Study history and learn Geography before making a fool of yourself ...truly !!! Russia turning over all of the Crimea to Ukrainian / Muslim leadership to join the E.U. ( only to be treated as a third world nation ) , look at Greece .... Would be an act of insanity and gross lack of leadership from the Russians . Ill repeat , Im no fan of Putin ... But hes right .. And if Europe pushing along with the U.S. , sanctions or saber rattling , the pipelines will be closed and Central Europe will literally be in the dark ... Think about it .. Russia has shut off the tap before in the past two decades ... When Poland didnt pay their bill , guess what ... Germany got cut off too ... The bill was paid promptly .. Think before you listen to talking heads and politicians. They do not have your best interest in mind!!!!! And lastly , the U.S. Has absolutely NO PROBLEM DICTATING DEMANDS TO ISRAEL (A SOVEREIGN NATION) .... Why would anyone listen to U.S. Policy and instantly assume it is correct ! Think People ... THINK !!!!!!
