Im working hard at getting my body to alkaline these next three weeks doing the Ultimate Reset. Surprised we havent had any celery in our recipes yet. Hmm. I think we do in weeks 2 and 3. :;-) Great reminder. For those who werent aware, the average American diet turns our bodies into acidic monsters. So if you dont eat a lot of alkaline foods, or youre priority is eating lots of meats and saturated fats, or youre a carbo-loader; AND you have lots of aches and pains, gut problems, headaches, high blood pressure or any other nagging ailments, chances are you can blame it on your acidic diet. Dis-ease breeds in an acidic environment. I do this tune up every year and I feel amazing for the better part of 6 months after Ive done it, so long as I dont return to too many acidic foods. Inevitably, I eventually fall victim to old habits, but I never stray too far. I would have to say, in the last 3 years of having done this, so far, this has been the easiest. I am a firm believer that the body needs a good tune up, just like your car does. The first year I did this was so very painful as I cut out coffee for the first time in years and switched to the Ultimate Reset vegan menu plan for three weeks. It has been an amazing transformation for me and for many people who I know have completed the program. I always have more energy, sleep better, am in a better mood, feel very little if any pain in my joints and go faster, stronger and harder than I could before I completed the gentle detox. Sorry, tangent. I set out to tell you how amazing the benefits of alkaline foods are for you. Read below for some of the benefits of celery. :-)
