Imagine if a TV news program featured a health analyst who touted the health benefits of cheeseburgers, fries, and shakes, but never disclosed that he was being paid by McDonalds. It would be absurd, which is why TV news programs routinely require those appearing to discuss issues disclose such financial ties. Except, apparently, when it comes to those pushing America into war: leftaction/action/make-pro-war-pundits-disclose Some of these pundits stand to earn hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars from Pentagon contractors. And yet, those viewers watching them pontificate as experts or analysts have no idea. They have every right to their opinions, of course. But TV news programs should require at least a brief disclosure, as they routinely do in other cases of guests financial interest. leftaction/action/make-pro-war-pundits-disclose
