Imagine, people exercising their right to personal liberty, in the land of the liberty, and they will be slandered, mocked, and denigrated. The framework of secession is a peaceful resolution to self-determination; however, theres very little political gain in allowing people to have this much liberty. zerohedge/news/2014-06-04/its-not-just-europe-16-california-counties-seek-secession-states 1776 (USA), 1861 (USA), 2014 (Ukraine). Interestingly enough, in the three prior cases, those seceding were disenfranchised and then, shortly thereafter, involved in armed struggle... Unfortunately, in the US, Lincoln decimated the 10th amendment, the assertion of States sovereignty, and elevated the federal .gov. So the likelihood of this happening, which is a natural right, is slim to none... at least in a civil manner.
