Imagine that we all lived in a world where we could be authentic without fear of reprisal or retribution. Where you could tell someone what you thought about them, positive or negative, and they would take it as it was, and not factor their pride into what it was you said. Where people didnt consider you thirsty just for wanting to be vulnerable and open. Where people actually made an effort to get along (instead of just talking about it) and understand each other, and not jump to conclusions or think the worst. Where your way of getting by didnt clash with my way of getting by, where living and letting live was the rule rather than the exception? Where music actually connected hearts and minds and souls and family actually meant family? I know. Its a panacea. Im not naïve. I know some of you will laugh at this, try to be funny. I know better. But a boy can dream, cant he? Shouldnt he?
