Imagine the comments I got when I was pregnant with #5! I heard everything from you have your hands full (yes, I do, but so is my heart) to do you know where they come from? (Seeing that I am a midwife, I probably know better than you, thankyouverymuch.) to was this one (Alex) an oops? (No, he was planned.) to when do you plan to quit? (I answered, I guess I will quit when I get an ugly one. What business is it of yours? When did a big family become taboo? Am I asking for financial help? (no). Do I look like I am irresponsible? (Dont answer that). Ugh. Really people? You think you cant love that many kids? Anyone who thinks you cant love your fifth baby (or 6th or 7th...) as much as your first baby doesnt have five babies. When did having 2 kids become the standard...if you have less youre selfish for having an only, and if you have more, youre well...just nuts? Its not your business people! And to the lady in the elevator, Ive been there, done that, and I have 5 gorgeous kids to show for it.
