Importance of Community: The spiritual author Wayne Muller talks about how important it is for us to be in communities. He says that the function of community is to notice when people are disappearing or beginning to withdraw, to go missing emotionally. We need to watch out for one another, not to let people get too isolated or wander too far from the fire of kinship, where we warm one another.
