In Egyptian mythology, Sekhmet or Sachmis also spelled Sakhmet, Sekhet, or Sakhet, among other spellings) was originally the warrior goddess as well as goddess of healing for Upper Egypt, when the kingdom of Egypt was divided. She is depicted as a lioness, the fiercest hunter known to the Egyptians. It was said that her breath formed the desert. She was seen as the protector of the pharaohs and led them in warfare. Her cult was so dominant in the culture that when the first pharaoh of the twelfth dynasty, Amenemhat I, moved the capital of Egypt to Itjtawy, the centre for her cult was moved as well. Religion, the royal lineage, and the authority to govern were intrinsically interwoven in Ancient Egypt during its approximately three millennia of existence. Sekhmet also is a Solar deity, sometimes called the daughter of the sun god Ra and often associated with the goddesses Hathor and Bast. She bears the Solar disk and the uraeus which associates her with Wadjet and royalty. With these associations she can be construed as being a divine arbiter of the goddess Maat (Justice, or Order) in the Judgment Hall of Osiris, associating her with the Wedjat (later the Eye of Ra), and connecting her with Tefnut as well. سخمت من الآلهة في ميثولوجية مصرية قديمة. غالبًا تمثل كسيدة برأس لبؤة جالسة على العرش لأو واقفة . هي أحد أعضاء ثالوث منف (بتاح - سخمت - نفرتم). آلهة أنثى. ألقابها: السيدة العظيمة محبوبة بتاح ،عين رع، سيدة الحرب، سيدة الأرضيين (مصر العليا والسفلى) ،سيدة الأرض الليبية، الجبارة وألقاب أخرى كثيرة. تعتبر اللبؤة هي الحيوان المقدس لربة منف سخمت والذي يعنى اسمها القوية. سخمت وتعني القوية،، كانت دائماً ما تمثل كسيدة برأس لبؤة أو بهيئة سيدة ورأس لبؤة جالسة علي العرش الذي تزينه علامة توحيد شمال وجنوب مصر وتمسك بيدها مفتاح الحياة عنخ ، يعلو رأسها قرص الشمس وثعبان الكوبرا . وكان مركز عبادتها في منف وكانت تعتبر زوجة بتاح ووالدة نفرتوم إله اللوتس حيث مثلوا ثالوث منف (بتاح سخمت وابنهما نفرتوم). غضب رع إله الشمس في المعتقد المصري القديم على البشر لاستهزائهم به. فقام بإرسال سخمت لتنتقم منهم .. الصورة المنتقمة لحتحور .. لكي تقتل هؤلاء البشر. إلا أن سخمت استمتعت بهذه المهمة جداً فعاثت بقل الناس لدرجة أنها قضت على كل البشر تقريباً. وهنا خدع رع سخمت بأن قدم لها كميات كبيرة من الجعة الملونة أحمر والتي تشبه لون الدم فشربت منه وسكرت وهدأت حتى توقفت عن القتل. También conocida con los nombres de Sakhmet, Sekhet, Sekhem, Shakti, Nesert. Fue representada como un ser, o con cuerpo de mujer y cabeza de leona, aunque con melena, generalmente coronada con el disco solar, el Uraeus (serpiente protectora), y portando el Anj y una flor de papiro o loto, y con flechas. También como mujer con cabeza de cocodrilo, o como el ojo udyat. Sekhmet la puissante est une déesse de la mythologie égyptienne. Elle est représentée par une femme à tête de lionne portant le disque solaire ; de sa bouche de lionne sortent les vents du désert. Déesse guerrière personnifiant les ravages du soleil, elle est linstrument de la vengeance de Rê contre linsurrection des hommes. Son corps brûlant et ses flèches incandescentes détruisent les ennemis du roi. Elle est épouse de Ptah et mère de Néfertoum dans la triade Memphite. La déesse chatte Bastet sidentifie parfois à Sekhmet. Les prêtres de Sekhmet étaient reconnus comme spécialistes de la médecine vétérinaire. Sekhmet il cui nome significa Colei che è potente era una divinità solare zoomorfa della mitologia egizia. Centro del suo culto era a Letopolis nel 2º distretto del Basso Egitto. Veniva raffigurata come leonessa o come una donna dalla la testa leonina,[1] ed a partire dalla XVIII dinastia acquisì anche i simboli divini quali il disco solare, lureo ed il bastone uadj. Dalla parola egizia sekhem che significa potere derivano sia lo scettro e, con laggiunta della desinenza et indicativa del femminile, il nome della dea. Figlia di Ra, nella tarda teogonia menfita a partire dal Nuovo Regno, era membro della triade come sposa di Ptah e madre di Nefertum, prendendo anche lepiteto di La grande, amata da Ptah. Era la terribile dea della guerra che impersonificando i raggi dal calore mortale del sole incarnava il potere distruttivo dellastro ma anche laria rovente del deserto i cui venti erano il suo alito di fuoco e con i quali puniva i nemici che si ribellavano al volere divino. Rappresentava anche lo strumento della vendetta di Ra contro linsurrezione degli uomini imponendo lordine del mondo.
