In Gujarats famous GIR Forest, EC is establishing a Polling Booth - TopicsExpress

In Gujarats famous GIR Forest, EC is establishing a Polling Booth just to cater to a single Voter Mahant Bharathdas Darshandas who is a Priest in a Shiva Temple. As the rule is, no voter should be made to walk more than 2 km, to cast his vote, EC staff is travelling 35 km to establish a polling booth in the midst of the forest on April 29th so that the privileged Voter can exercise his franchise on 30th April. But a small problem. What if, Mahant Bharatdas Darshandas, gets inspired by the 45% Bangalore voters who took it as a privilege NOT to vote and enjoyed their holiday on April 17th? Hope the voter who lives in midst of the Forest is a real enlightened citizen.
