In TV, we call this a stand and stare or a head nod. Producers sometimes ask the reporters to send in video of us literally just standing there looking at the camera. They will run maybe 5-8 seconds of this pre-recorded video at the top of the newscast. Generally, you will see multiple reporters all doing the same thing in two-boxes or three-boxes to show we have team coverage on a story. Today, you wouldve seen a few seconds of this one during our coverage at 5 pm of gay marriage legalization in Florida. #behindthescenes
