In a 10-7 vote, the House Commerce Committee has advanced a bill that would extend the states film subsidy program indefinitely. For the 2013 calendar year, the latest year the numbers are available, Michigan gained zero permanent jobs from the films taxpayers spent money on. And according to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, the state has fewer film jobs than it did prior to the incentive program. michigancapitolconfidential/20739
