In a probability and statistics class this question was asked; What is probability of an event? The whole was quiet until I decided to kick start the reasoning and thinking ability of the the students. I mentioned to the students that probability of event is always the success of the event OVER its outcome. However the outcome, in some books is the same as SAMPLE SPACE. I didnt just stopped there. I went further to let it be made known to the students that, probability works within the range of 1. Each time we solve any probability related question and it supersedes 1. Then we are completely out of the remits of the axioms and theories of probability. The whole lecture hall came to standstill [Conclusion] Suddenly one beautiful lady puffed mtcheeeew. She said, what at all do we seek to achieve learning this probability thing? I jokingly said to her, what at all do ladies seek to achieve in wearing hot make-ups. After asking such brainy and tough provoking question, the class turned into a bizarre of laughter. Both the student and myself became a laughing stock! #StudyingHumanBehaviour.
