In continuation of conflicts between the Finance Minister and six lawmakers, the Lower House of Parliament summoned the Finance Minister for an impeachment on Monday. The accused Finance Minister of not providing the Lower House a copy of the evidences of allegations he previously made against six MPs and lack of appearance before the House when he was previously summoned. In response, Finance Minister said that according to the Constitution it was the duty of Attorney-General Office to investigate such issues and he submitted those documents to that body, therefore the Constitution did not allow him to send a copy of those documents to the Lower House. Finally the MPs put voting boxes to give their vote of confidence and no confidence for the Minister. Some 123 no confidence votes were needed for the dismissal of the Finance Minister. At the end only 105 votes of no confidence counted while 72 MPs voted in his favor. “123 votes of no confidence were needed for the disqualification of Finance Minister, as the number of votes of no confidence were 105, therefore the Finance Minister can continue his term,” said the Lower House Speaker.
