In days gone by a trip to the seaside for most was, grab a deckchair for gran before they all went... a tub of winkles or may be fish and chips sit in, with a Mr Softy 99 with monkeys blood and nuts to follow... For beach entertainment, bury a member of the family in sand and if we were really going for it... You got to play with a stunt kite for beginners, a single liner... Never did advance to the awesome 2 liner, that let you go left and right with... Then finally at the end of a fun filled day, negotiate holding a towel round yourself and change like superman from beachware to going home clothes(off course before I reached 23 it was easier cos my mum held the towel) and then the impossible task of not getting sand in your dads newly cleaned car...
