In having a conversation with a co-worker today about awareness, I - TopicsExpress

In having a conversation with a co-worker today about awareness, I had the following advice which I thought was worth sharing: Co-worker: “I don’t always say what I mean... when I am upset that is. I need to learn to have better control of my tongue when mad.” Me: “Exactly!!! Being upset is simply a matter of wishing things were different than they are: You are having thoughts that tell you things should be THIS way. Accepting things as they are allows you to take correct action (if any action is needed). When you lose control of your tongue, you do NOT realize you are thinking… you have BECOME your thoughts. Allowing space between your awareness and your thoughts destroys anger.”
