In many ways God is much different from us. Yet in many ways, He is no different from us. God wants to seek you as much as you want to find true love. He gets hurt when His loved ones fall from the place they can thrive. It is a sacrifice for God to have to give up His comfort to seek after His children. It was a great pain when He departed from His son. It is overwhelming joy when He welcomes one of His children into His arms. Think about these things when relationship problems seem insurmountable.
