In particular, I read this article to explain 1) why my attempt to work a corporate job failed so hard; 2) the success of a few particular talentless but overbearing and oblivious individuals in the belly dance scene; 3) its not my imagination -- I really am doing exponentially much work for fractional compensation/recognition/reward; and 4) I am just never going to break out of poverty and obscurity. Its not okay, but I guess it is okay because Id rather be my conscientious and exacting self rather than be like the pushy domineering so-and-sos mentioned in point 2. I shouldnt have to lean in. Someone should tell the blowhards to lean out for a change. Im going to go revise my latest bound-for-obscurity choreography for the 225th time.
