In spite of the terrible event today #sydneysiege, I am thankful that it is in stark contrast to the values of this city and country - we value human life, freedom, community, order, peace. Thankful that 5 escaped. Thankful that no-one is hurt. Thankful that communication lines with the gunman are open. Thankful for wise leaders. Thankful for police and military personnel. Thankful for all who are assisting and cooperating. Thankful for media restraint. Thankful that our prayers are joined by others across the world. #prayforsydney Thankful that our Lord says that when two or three are gathered together in his name, he is among them. He hears us.
