In studying Psalm 27, I realized recently joy is something we can actually choose. In fact were told to offer it as a sacrifice. therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. -its interesting the avenue for the sacrifice in this verse is to sing praises to the Lord. Also fascinating, the definition for the Hebrew word for joy includes not only rejoicing , but its also an alarm of war, war-cry or battle-cry ! Amazing, AND the phrase that precedes offering the sacrifices of joy.... And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. In the midst of the battle, we need to offer up joy - with shouts of victory as we sing praises , and we will rise above our enemies ! Glory glory Hallelujah !! Lets all bring the sacrifice of joy today !!!
