In the dark and cold wee small hours of tomorrow morning we will be baking lots of our favourites for you..bee-sting buns with custardy centres, toffeed meyer lemon tarts, lamingtons with toasted coconut, new and improved smores with graham cracker cookies, milk chocolate and our vanilla marshmallow. Well be filling apple pie creme brulee tarts, glazing mandarin chiffon cakes with passionfruit icing and putting the devils crumb layer cakes together with generous spoonfuls of sour cream ganache. After dawn, we will be frying potato brioche doughnuts, whipping cream for peanut butter banoffee pies, dusting a pear-a-misu or two with cocoa, baking rugelachs and smoothing buttercream onto rhubarb shagg layer cakes. Then well pop out some tangel-yo-yos, red velvets and vanilla sour cream cheesecakes with poached dried apricots too! The ciabatta is the Yotam with shawarma spiced and slow roasted organic lamb shoulder from Hagens Organic Butcher, a salad of cucumbers, cherry tomato and Shuki and Louisas amazing baba ghannouj, pomegranate, labne, toasted almond and a lemony dressed herb salad. Theres also a few sneaky serves of the Rachael with WarialdaBelted GallowayBeef, melty swiss and parsley slaw. And for the meat free-ers, its the Spicoli with baked ricotta, roasted red peppers, salsa verde and this week it has a little Mount Zero olive and caper tapenade. Lots of warm baking love to you. x
