In the early morning hours of October 24,2012, Kyle Jordan Atchison, husband, father, brother, friend and son quietly slipped into eternity. Kyle had been suffering from a rare yet severe pain condition, RSD/CRPS and was being treated at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. When we arrived in L.A. on Sept.9, Kyle was so debilitated had had to use a wheelchair. After his surgery, he progressed each day to where he was able to walk on his own to his appointments. Just two nights before he died, Kyle stated that for the first time in 6 1/2 years he had hope and was looking forward to the future. Kyle left his dear wife, Lisa and children Noelle and Ryan who, at the time were 2 1/2 and eight months. We are so grateful for the unwavering love and support Lisa gave to Kyle. We ask that you continue to support her with your prayers in raising Noelle and Ryan., Kyle loved life. He was proud of his Eagle rank in scouting, liked swimming and played the piano and trombone and for a boy who was a bit delayed in talking became an avid speaker and thespian. He never met a stage he didnt like. One of our favorite memories of him growing up was watching him ride his bike with two broken arms. Though cut short, Kyle was able to attain his dream of becoming a pilot and loved aviation. We consider ourselves to be so blessed to have raised a son who loved the Lord. Kyles favorite verse was Psalm 19:1, The heavens declare the glory of God;the skies proclaim work of hands. Waves of grief continue to overwhelm us. The void left by Kyle will never be filled. We cling to our precious memories of a son with such a sunny personality. In our human comprehension, we will never understand why Kyle was called away from his sweet family but we are not asked to understand, but to trust in our Lord.
