In the last federal election in Peterborough 59348 people cast - TopicsExpress

In the last federal election in Peterborough 59348 people cast ballots as compared to only 48658 that voted in the provincial election in the same year. Why did 10690 federal voters decide not to vote later the same year? The turnout in percentages dropped from roughly 65% federally to 53% provincially; while both need to be higher its clear that we can and must encourage a better voter turn-out in this provincial campaign. If there is one thing we can all agree on its that voting matters. Lets all do all that we can to see that Peterborough has a voter turn-out we can be proud of, in fact lets try and do better than anyone else in the province!
