In the past two weekends, I found myself standing in the midst of a mourning crowd accompanying a deceased loved one to their final resting place. As the coffin went down from the surface of the earth to a level presumably four feet under, all I could think of was how decomposition is going to take place down there, and I am traumatized by the thought. I am then reminded of what Jesus said... Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cant kill the soul. Instead, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28 NIRV)... This gives me comfort... My Lord conquered the grave, and its only my shelter (body) thats gonna go under to rot, as for me (spirit), by faith in my Lord I know Ill be singing hallelujahs to God in heaven forever and ever. Im not afraid.
