In the spirit of activism, Nigerian American philanthropist Jumoke - TopicsExpress

In the spirit of activism, Nigerian American philanthropist Jumoke Dada has started an organization called 200 Roses Ng in order to bring greater awareness to the missing girls of Government Secondary School in Nigeria. Using Facebook, Twitter, and the hashtags #200RosesNg and #BringThemHome as her platform, Dada told Face2Face Africa that she will not stop talking about the missing girls of Chibok until they are brought back home safely. Quote: I had been following the story since it first happened and I found myself consumed with finding more information. Watching the news, I saw a lot of coverage about other recent tragedies, but I didn’t hear anything about the missing girls. I would mention it in casual conversations, and I was shocked at how many people were unaware of what had happened. I realized that I needed to have a platform to share the information that I came across so that’s why I created 200 Roses Ng. 200 Roses Ng will be holding a prayer rally tomorrow in Philadelphia, Pa., at LOVE park.
