How are you dearies up there? Awaking from a summer-induced slumber? … slumber…… slumber……..…. slumber……………… Let’s hope so, as we kick the new/old year, welcome/say farewell to the students, and head towards the glorious winter/summer climes that are just around the corner! And boy oh boy, do WE have a news-filled newsletter…thingymebob…email thing for YOU!! Firstly though, let’s welcome our newest members!!!! NEW MEMBERS Catherine Worsnop who has joined us from Brandeis University where she is completing her PhD on the WHOs International Health Regulations. Catherine has worked in health policy with the National Academies at the Institute of Medicine’s Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care in Washington DC, and in her spare time she enjoys travelling to far off destinations like Hanoi and Sydney. Catherine’s email is czweig @ brandeis.edu. Mariam Soomro has recently completed her Masters in Public Health in a joint degree with Brunei and Japan. Mariam has a background in dentistry and the prevention of chronic diseases such as diabetes…so probably best not mention the word ‘sugar’ in her presence! ;) Mariam’s email is themariam @ hotmail.
