In the tomb, on Easter Sunday, Jesus folded his napkin (the piece of cloth covering his face) and placed it neatly in the tomb before he left it. In tradition, when you had finished a meal you would scrunch your napkin, leaving it on the plate, and this would indicate that your meal was finished. If you were not finished but needed to leave the table for any reason, you would fold your napkin,and leave it on the table which suggested that you were not finished and you were coming back.
