In this video, Jen H. is doing Goblet Squats with a 45lb. Kettlebell. I have her perform 12-15 sec. sprints at 100% effort immediately following the Goblet Squat. This combo is great for athletes in any sport. My intention is to get the athlete to be as explosive as possible out of the bottom of the squat and continually work on the depth of their squat. The banded resisted sprint teaches the athlete to maintain good running mechanics when they are extremely fatigued. Ultimately, the combination of the two produces a more explosive, powerful, and faster athlete after a period of 4-6 weeks. Protocol: Four sets of 10-12 reps followed by four sprints at maximal effort for 15 seconds.
