In todays Slimes Op Ed section there is a piece that sort of answers the question (and title of the piece) Why the UN Cant Solve The Worlds Problems). Conceived as an organization that would help bring peace to the world the UN has 2 parts ...Security Council and the General Assembly...this piece says that the problems cannot be solved because, of the veto powers in the Security Council.. Allow me to help this idiot of a reporter..... The General Assembly and it myriad committees (thing Human Rights and Iran being on this one) have devolved the UN into an organization that spends its time drawing up resolution after resolution against either America or Israel....as the writer is the UN correspondent for the Slimes it is not suprising that a full picture of the issue is not explored - ah, the Slimes...all the news they choose to print
