In tragic news, did you realize that yesterday was the first Saturday in 50 YEARS where there was no Saturday Morning cartoon block on any of the 5 major networks? Its true and its sad. In the content excess of modern times weve lost a true piece of American tradition found in the treasured 4 hour block of colorful cartoons that only came once a week. A wonderful reward for those who endured the hardship of school work, chores and being ridiculed by our peers. As you can imagine, we here at Cartoon Lagoon are in mourning as our main reason for existing is in celebrating the ideals and tradition that was associated with Saturday mornings and after school cartoon blocks.
