India is not a good place for dating simply because there is no culture as such to facilitate it. As a society, we just dont understand the dynamics of dating. You cannot expect much from a society were proposing a girl actually means asking for her permission to start dating her. Our parents are not open to us about it. Hell, I doubt if most have a clue about it themselves. Guys here are inept when it comes to approaching a girl. They dont know how to start and when to stop. Sometimes they come in too hard and seem egoistic, sometimes they act creepy, and sometimes they act plain dumb. And also the girls are inept at dealing with such situations. Sometimes they ignore a creep and its to late, sometimes they are not firm, sometimes they create awkward situations for both and sometimes they treat a decent guy as if he was a creepy stalker or molester. And then either genders keep pointing fingers at each other not realizing that both are not in a position to judge irrespective of whatever individual experiences they had. I refrain from approaching girls because of this reason. I dont understand how dating actually works and I am in the wrong country to experiment for developing a clear picture.
