Indulge me in a moment of sentimentality. Or dont. Its a free country. But this is one of those private things that I suddenly feel the need to share. A few years ago, I was getting on a plane and something just bothered me. I dont remember what, but I just I had sense that this wasnt going to be a good flight. Before the plane pulled back, I sent Nathalie a message, I love you. For whatever reason, I just felt that this might be the last thing I put out into the world, and if it were, I wanted it to be something positive, something that mattered. Ive done it on every flight Ive taken since. Weird as it seems, I still think about that reason every time, too. It still hasnt become routine in my own mind.
