Inshallah we will be posting a passage from each surah along with a brief reflection/tafsir everyday till we get to Surah An-Nas. May Allah make it easy for us to understand the Quran. Share these with your friends and family so they too can get the fruit of the Quran. But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds (by obeying Allah), then verily, Allah will pardon him (accept his repentance). Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. In this ayah, Allah is showing us His mercy. If someone did wrong and he repents sincerely, Allah will forgive him. We are humans and we make mistakes. When we or someone else in this world do something bad to each other, we dont talk to them forever. Allah is saying if you mess up and repent and do a righteous deed/reform/make a change, then Allah will forgive you. We always hear that actions speak louder than words. Allah is saying do both. It is one thing to tell Allah your sorry and keep doing the sin over and over and just saying sorry, but sincerely repenting is saying sorry, seeking forgiveness, leaving the sin, and do something good and Allah will wash away your sin. This is how Forgiving and Merciful Allah is.
