Interesting how images can manipulate. Thought this visualization in an ad for Delta Airlines might interest folks (NYTimes Oct 21, 2014). It shows how vibrant, vital and urbane (and transmodal) under bridge environments can be (in this case NYCs wildly successful Highline). That could be Forest Hills with a rebuilt Casey carrying cars and bike commuters while keeping street level a sane scale activated by people not cars. Meanwhile, MassDOTs visualization matches their design effort: a half-baked, unimaginative charade.
