Interesting read...My personal all time beef is what they did to Memorial Drive in Cambridge, they took away a whole parking lane, and a whole driving lane to put extra grass on the side of the road, grass that they rarely mow, I windsurfed a couple of decades ago across from the Hyatt in Cambridge because back then there was parking only a quarter mile away from there next to the water. Now there is only around five pull overs with six thirty minute parking spots per section. The city of Boston and Cambridge is on a coordinated plan to make it very unpleasant and expensive to own or drive a car into these cities...Which is just as well, because I do most of my activities in the secondary markets. Except for Montreal, I personally do not like really big cities...
