International Climate Protection Fellowships: Opportunity for Developing Country Climate Experts to conduct Research Project in Germany Do you belong to non-European transition or developing country? Are you a young climate expert interested to conduct research project in Germany? Apply for the International Climate Protection Fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The researchers active in economic, health, social, legal, scientific and engineering based aspects of climate change are encouraged to apply for the opportunity. Total 20 fellows will be selected to spend a year time conducting research in any of the host institutions selected by the fellow her/himself. The fellows will be provided three-week introductory phase when they make contact with other climate protection fellows and visit companies, research institutions and cultural events in Germany. They will be offered an intensive German-language course before beginning the fellowship to make their everyday life in Germany an ease. Additionally, the fellows will receive fellowship amounts between EUR 2,150 to EUR 2,750 per month, lump travel expenses, allowances for visits by family members lasting at least three months, allowance of EUR 800 per month for the host in Germany for projects in natural and engineering sciences, and EUR 500 per month for projects in the humanities and social sciences. Eligibility Criteria: -Applicants must hold a University degree completed with outstanding results less than 12 years prior to start of the fellowship. -Applicants must have clearly visible leadership potential demonstrated by experience in a leadership position, or appropriate references. -Applicants must have professional experience in a leadership role in the field of climate protection (at least 48 months at the time of application), or a further academic or professional qualification. -Applicants must have good command over English and/or German language.
