Is U Win Tin Day done? Come, never done! A Tribute Poem To U Win Tin By Poet Min Maung (Samurai), a one-time His pupil in Cell-3 of Insein Jail 12:00 Noon: April 23, 20014 A bad shock-news on the air by the wind wrings As reluctant to carry its burden causing Burmese in awe “Hey Myanmar Folk Sayagyi U Win Tin gone” Reached us but still unwelcome, standing speechless Suddenly the world become somber, and dismal Coz of 4 men shouldering ‘A red coffin” to Where All Burmese and ethnics welled with tears flowing down Are your day done? Does he lead to the final door, death toll? Through which no lay-folks return but he waved away - Although you born into brutal embrace of striving circumstances; In detained cell, imprisoned 20 years in the bloody jail, Insein Which wild-goose-chase and strayed coward-critics stray away from it, Your man of strength, survival for the fittest of Burma Neither you crippled by brutes nor you diminished that imprisonment Your spirits reach out to people mind; you’re our great-father of Burma Even you leave us, your works of both politics and media arts reflect us Now the world weeping coz thus cannot give you courageous award Your soul back against down-in-out class surely refreshes our soul hard - You offered and shouldered us to carry his last word “Keep Fighting” Why thus you assign us? There is long way to go for Democracy We will not let your last word down now matter how political climate gloomy We promise it every generation to come must done it as a national must Your model roles playing strengthen men and women around the world Yet Great-father, allow us to weep in tearful voices “Carry your might on” We, your inheritors, we will never forgive you nor will dishonor your truth That you taught us and loved us even handed your no-end-tasks to us Even you died your spirits will live among the core hearts of people mind.
