Is this not the cutest trio? The little boy on the right is Pepper, who has just officially adopted by our founder and president Denise. Pepper was a stray in a nearly town where the locals called him Suicide because hed spent years dodging in and out of traffic. Turns out, Pepper is actually visually impaired, and had probably been hit at least once. Thankfully a kind woman who was visiting took this second photo of him and sent it to BWAR asking for our help. Two of our best volunteers with years of feral dog and cat experience, Pam and Jeff, were able to trap the little guy and bring him to Asheville, and then to Denises home to foster. Pepper has settled in beautifully with Denises pack, and though he is still fearful of humans, he has a wonderful life at her home safely snoozing in the sunshine of her fenced yard with the other dogs, his little tongue sticking out. Many thanks to the volunteers and Denise who made this ending so perfect!
