Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was - TopicsExpress

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. ....... Here is a man, prophesying about our Saviors death more than six hundred years into the future. And think of Jesus, looking out and seeing His mother, John, and others. They loved Jesus deeply, but there was no way they could understand His motivations on this Friday, two thousand plus years ago. As much as they wanted to help Jesus, it was something He had to do alone. Then came the moment alone beyond alone, when a beaten, kicked, spit upon, bleeding Son of Man cried out, My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? At than very moment, you and I could be born again. Today is a day to shed all our wanting and live as the Lord desires: thankful. We have the privilege of understanding Him as those who walked by His side never could, and our response can be nothing other than to fall on our faces in profound gratitude. Yes folks, when Jesus was hanging, bleeding on that cross....He had you on His mind, and all of it is something none of us deserved. Thank you Jesus for your un-ending love for us, even in spite of ourselves. Glory to God in the highest! May your day be spent meditating on Gods amazing grace to us all, Amen. ~♥
