Isnt it interesting. Compare my arm on the left to the Arab womans arm on the right. I LOVE silver bracelets. Vacuum them up with LUST. The thrift store is the best place for them hearabouts. You find very pretty interesting ones CHEAP. You have to dig for them and then scrutinize and study them very carefully to find the hallmark. If they do not have a hallmark they are not silver. By law they have to have a hallmark on them to be silver. You cant just sell a silver looking bracelet say it is silver and have it all come off after a few hand washings. You mark it with your hallmark as a silversmith and then it is always silver, no matter how many showers and baths and beach swimmings and pool swimmings and dishwashings and clothes washings you do wearing them. You can wash them with soap and it they tarnish a little water and salt will fix that. NOT sand. Scratch the hell out of good silver with sand.
