Israeli apologists will say Hamas is using human shields. What is a human shield, when a soldier comes home to his family, when soldiers are in any way near civilians? I suppose Israel uses its citizens as human shields in those cases and are under its rules fair game. Little mention has been made that Israel is responsible for his round of the conflict due to its broken promise of some years ago to lift the blockade and entry to and from Gaza. For those that do not know, a full blockade means no import or exports in or out ie the strangulation of the economy. As people are trapped they use the tunnels Israel is now calling cleverly terror tunnels as an excuse to destroy them. What they are really trying to destroy is Gaza and its people. The rockets are in response to the continuing blockade, broken promises and recent round ups of Palestinian men.
