It appears that ripping off of Hugh Howey’s creativity wasn’t - TopicsExpress

It appears that ripping off of Hugh Howey’s creativity wasn’t enough, Michael Bunker is now injecting his sub-par writing into the amazing world of the late Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle world (which any classically trained, professional writer should not do .) I am a big Kurt Vonnegut fan and he would be spinning in his grave to know that this religious conman was now writing off of his talents and soiling the wonderful literary world that he created. I am not a great writer, but I was trained in the Ivy League English system and this is one rule I was taught never to break. No credible English scholar would ever take your work seriously if you extended on an authors works post mortem. Unless one is given specific permission to do so by the owner of the intellectual property rights which I doubt Michael has been given. Another rule never to break is for an author to gush over another author as Michael so frequently does with Hugh Howey. To be clear, I like Hugh Howey’s work and thought it a travesty that Michael was ripping him off. I assume Hugh accepts Michael’s pseudo-intellectual scribbles as some type of strange flattery and that is fine. It is just hard to abide a snake oil charlatan such as Michael ripping off such a great writer like Vonnegut. We live in a nation where free speech is allowed (for now) and Michael has every right to continue his UNORIGINAL writing if he wants to. Ultimately, this tragedy of literacy will sail off into the insignificant realm of 99 cent downloads on Amazon to be bought up by the bored and misinformed. However, I would be doing the literary world a disservice not to comment. Mr. Vonnegut I am sorry but you are being ripped off by a religious charlatan, college drop out. There are two types of authors; those that write fan fiction and real ones. Pathetic! TT81
