It appears the Transformation agenda has finally caught up with President Goodluck Jonathan. There is now a visible transformation from the desperation of a few months back to the PANIC of today. Watching him drop his so - called bombshell of yesterday in Lagos showed real panic. Lets look at the facts as opposed to the panicky statements: 1. When the independence day bombing took place in 2010, President Jonathan was the first to exonerate MEND from complicity in the attack. When Henry Orka was arrested in South Africa and alledged that he was under pressure from the Presidency to implicate some persons no denial was issued. How come now he is being accused of plotting to assassinate the president? 2. If truly there was an attempt on the President’s life in the 2010 how come it took him almost five years to tell Nigerians in the year 2015? If it took him this long to address a matter that concerns his life, are we surprised that Chibok girls are still in captivity? 3. How come the President who was the target of Henry Orkas bomb never entered a plea on the matter in the South African Court case? How come no such matter was mentioned throughout the trial? How come no media house mentioned it even if just as a speculation? 4. I was in Yola and a staff on NTA Yola when Maitatsine struck in Jimeta, I covered operation IS under the command of late Col. Cyril Chukwudi Eweze of blessed memory, the soldiers fired shells and fought with real bullets. If Buhari did not provide them arms where did they get the ones they used to defeat Maitatsine? 5. When Buhari came to Yola he addressed all stakeholders and gave the Commanding Officer an order to dislodge the insurgents , he simply said Colonel Dislodge them he didnt say wait for Hunters, Vigilantes or Civilian JTF. No, as Commander - in - Chief he gave orders to the troops under his command and they obeyed. No tactical maneuver, no mutiny, no mutiny by proxy through wives, and no Court Marshalls. 6. When the insurgents took over Bulunkutu in Borno State, operatives of the then NSO including my late father - in - law were deployed into the enclave for weeks pretending to be fanatical converts, by the time they left the place, the Military had a complete dossier of the insurgents including street maps and pictures to work with. Today all our DSS does is to address press conferences on the activities of APC. It is evident from the manner the President spoke yesterday that his handlers have not only lost their focus but are loosing their sanity as well due the panicky situation they have created for themselves and for President Jonathan. If anyone is capable of throwing this country into crisis, they are the ones given their current state of mind.
