*Happy Birthday Dad! I miss you so very much...* 90 Day Video Challenge #43/90 (This was meant to be posted last night..Ill post another tonight) Today is August 15th, and its my dads birthday, but he is no longer here with us. Sadly, he was taken from us suddenly in 2010, and in memory of him, I thought I would share some of my feelings of the good memories I had of him and some lessons that I learned from him while he was here with us. youtu.be/rcpVn2-i3BM?list=PLMZLxEE_lVF_2eRIM3t3jq2l6X59GVOlB My dad was a very charismatic, fun, and smart man. He came from nothing, but he was able to become a very successful business owner in Chicago, developing his own clothing line. He used to take my sisters and I downtown on his trips with customers, and we used to see him, first hand, interact with everyone, and everyone loved him!! He was able to provide a wonderful home for myself, my mom and my 4 sisters, and he was so inviting, always welcoming people over, and he had a gift of making everyone he spoke to feel like they were the most important person ever! Everyone from a 2 year old child to a 90 year old woman..he always made them smile:) He loved us girls, and would always go to Cubs games, Six Flags Great America, and hed even be able to go on school field trips with us. He was also so great with helping us with our homework- especially math and history. He LOVED those subjects. My dad was always the mediator, it seemed, and he always had an open ear to talk to. He also always had a solution for everything when something went wrong, and I talk about that in this video a bit. We had some ups and downs while he was with us, and I talk about that a bit in the video... When he passed...he was loved and missed by many...He was the type of person that people always wanted to be around. Those things..I admire most about him...and I miss him... I believe that I get a lot of my entrepreneurial mindset from my dad, as I know that there is a better way out there than a 9-5 job. My dad proved that you can do anything you set your mind to, and he did it without parents, without college, and against all odds. He won and he lost several times in his life and throughout our lives..but he just kept going until he was happy, and I loved that about him. I am grateful and have peace of mind that he was in a very happy place when he passed..and I know he is happy now, as sad as it is to lose him. The only thing that I wish, is that he couldve been here to meet my children, his grand kids...He wouldve been a fun grandpa! Although they never met him, we talk about him all the time, and I know he is watching over us, and they know that Grandpa Paul is in Heaven :) Dad...I wanted to dedicate this video to you because its your special day. Thank you dad. I miss you so much, and I will always love you and cherish all the memories. Love Forever, Your Darling Daughter #2 ...as you always called me XOXO -In memory of my dad, Paul J.
