It comes to my mind that if it is in your power to help someone, then help them. Here while back (that is a Texas, or southern, term for an indeterminate time in the past) on my way to work I passed a boat of a Cadillac stalled on the street, a young man and woman were trying to push it. I made a U turn and pulled in behind them and gave them push to a gas station. A couple of days ago a student on his motorcycle was having trouble starting it. It was cold, the wind was blowing and I was walking between buildings. I kind of ducked my head like I didnt notice him and kept on going. Immediately the thought filled my mind what, if it takes to much effort you arent going to help? Ill swear I almost felt the thump to the back of my head. So I turned back and offered aid. He needed a jump start, I went to my pickup and came around and started his bike. We are suppose to do these things because it does not hurt us to come to the aid of our fellow humans, or animals for that matter. We do not do it for reward or even for Heavenly notice. If it is karma then you should receive what you put out. I dont know, I just know you are suppose to help when you can. Now Im not saying I believe in karma or rewards but my central heating unit was giving me problems the other day and I did all I knew to do. My friend Scott was a heating/air pro at one time. I hated to bother him in the evening and while he was driving (he own his own rig now). But I did, turns out he was in town. He and his wife came over, fixed the heater and we had a nice visit. The heater works again and I think better than it did before. It never hurts to help someone. Have a great day.
