It continued to be a fun and busy Saturday after the community economic development workshop in the Popular Community in Horry County! We had a great time at Conway Riverfest and then we headed to my hometown to stop by the 10th Annual Plantersville Heritage Festival which took place right behind my old elementary school. Fun fact: An organization founded by my former student Ray (The Village Group) puts on the Heritage Festival every year. Ray was one of my 12th grade students when I went back home to Plantersville after college to teach at Choppee, my former high school. They are doing great work for the youth and seniors in the Plantersville community. Congrats on your 10 years of celebrating Plantersvilles rich heritage!
